Finding our reason…
I was up early this morning, as I am most mornings. I walked out onto our deck. It was just so quiet and peaceful. It’s like that all the time but, well, summer is just my favorite time of year. The birds are always singing their songs, the sun is warm but not yet hot, the trees and flowers are in full bloom and the smell just overtakes me. I think it’s the only time in my day that I actually take long, deep breaths and feel calm. I remind myself that I should feel that way more often; that I should find that calm place more often than just in the early morning stillness. I’m working on that one.
I heard a quote once that said something like, “If all the birds sang just one note there would be no music.” I love that. I love music so that makes sense to me. I think it goes beyond music, though. What if we all thought or acted or dressed or danced…..exactly the same. How boring. What if the rainbow was just red and yellow? It would run together and end up being so dull. We need all the diversity in our world. But more importantly, we need to embrace the diversity. We’re all here for a reason. Our purpose, I believe, is for us to find our reason. I think I’m getting close. You?

I have known Mary for many years, long before she became an author, and have always found her to be a lovely, intelligent, gracious, and loving person. Her writings reflect those qualities. Her books are inspiring, as is she, by giving us permission to follow our dreams. She has become one of the most interesting motivational speakers I’ve heard in a long time. We hope you continue along the path of helping others.

Ah Mary – to fly above the clouds when I know you shared with me a while back just how afraid you used to be to fly … well … you’re a shining example of GETTING OUT OF YOUR BOXX! Keep inspiring others.
